GUMLESS JACK TREE

is a desirable variety of Artocarpus heterophyllus known for having little to no sticky latex, making it significantly easier to handle, clean, and prepare for eating or cooking compared to traditional types, with firm, white or pale yellow, sweet, crispy flesh that’s great for desserts or curries. It’s also called Panasa or Sompadi Varikka and offers a hassle-free harvest of delicious, aromatic fruit for home gardeners. 

• No Gum: The main feature is the absence or minimal presence of sticky latex, reducing mess.
• Texture & Flavor: Arils (fruit segments) are often white or pale yellow, firm, crispy, sweet, and aromatic.
• Ease of Use: The pulp separates easily from the fruit, making it ideal for cooking, jams, jellies, and curries.
• Growth: Trees are manageable, often pruned to 2-2.5m, and yield heavily (55-90kg/tree) once mature (around 4-5 years).
